Super Barber Cutting Competition Rules and Requirements
• All contestants must be 18 years and older to participate.
• All contestants must register online and pay their $100 registration fee (before May 14) in order to participate in the barber competition. After May 14 and onsite the registration fee increases to $125.
• The competition takes place on Sunday, June 9, 2012, between 10:00am and 6:00pm

Please note: The competition fee includes a one-day exhibit hall entry for the competitor and their model.
 

• All contestants must bring a live model and barbering tools in order to participate in competition. The competition fee includes a one-day exhibit hall entry for the competitor and model. Model numbers will be given to all participating models once confirmed and check in at Barber Competition Registration Area.

• All contestants will be given a designated time slot in advance via email by the Major League Barbers (MLB).  All time slots will be considered confirmed and will not change, unless approved by MLB and the selected judges.

• All models' hair must be cut at competition. Competitor is not allowed to cut, trim, shape or pre-set model's hair before the competition begins. Semi-permanent color, permanent color, light color sprays and chalks are allowed. Barber must show a transformation of the model's hair. 

• The judges will inspect model's hair during pre-judging or during check-in at the MLB Booth/competition location.  Violation of this rule will result in the deduction of points and/or disqualification from competition.

• All contestants must check in at the Barber Check Desk located in the lobby at the Registration Area at least one hour prior to their designated time slot.  If contestant is late, they will forfeit their place in the competition and their paid entry fee or fees.  Please look for “Barber Competition Check In” when you arrive to the show.

• Once in the exhibit hall, all contestants must check in at the MLB Booth/competition location, at least 15 minutes before their designated time slot. Any contestant who arrives late for their designated time slot will forfeit their entry to the completion and entry fee or fees.

• All contestants will have one (1) hour to complete their particular cut and style.

• Judging will be conducted on a visual basis only. Judges will use a point system from one (lowest possible score) to ten (highest possible score).  If there is a tie in a category or prize placement, the judges will determine the final winner.
